Doc Watson, guitar picker,banjo and harmonica player, saintly singer,this compilation is a diamond, all the tracks are brilliant,otto wood windy and warm, shady grove,muskrat,tom dooley, Doc gives us his best, and i for one cant complain,excellent through and through, if you need an introduction to Doc Watson this is ideal, from his instrumentals,docs guitar,beaumont rag,to traditional country /5(48).

4. Doc Watson's 'Southbound' is an excellent CD by my favorite flat-picking guitarist. In fact, it may very well be my favorite Doc Watson recording. Walk on Boy, Southbound, Windy and Warm, Tennessee Stud, and Alberta are among my favorite cuts on this recording.
